Home on Register of Historic Places

This classified home on Pacific Ave was struck by double tragedy when fire broke out. The initial fire attacked the third floor and the disaster was compounded by re-ignition later that night, with the fire and fire-fighters’ water destroying much of the interior.

The home was already owned by an architect,  who chose Gerald Loquet for the reconstruction and restoration. The historic wooden stairway was dis-assembled, sent away for restoration and and re-assembled piece by piece.

Eight months  were needed to restore to the original design.
