San Francisco Craftsman

Restore the house as original. Doors, door hardware, adapt to new design of the home. Add master bath and bedroom.

A 1920s San Francisco craftsman with great character and plenty of wood paneling inside. The project was to remodel the complete house, and fix the bad foundations.

  • Added a full basement with bathroom and playroom, access to garden.
  • Beautiful deck 15′ by 25′ Epee wood.
  • Changed all the windows,
  • All the plumbing, electricity.
  • Extend the kitchen wall, open the volume of the kitchen.
  • Reconfigure the space of the dining room by removing the chimney
  • Open the access to the room, between kitchen and dining room.

The big challenge on this project was the foundation in the basement. Gerald and his teamĀ  redesigned a new structure to support the house in a different way. Rebalanced the weight of the house. New beam and new post.
